INSTANT INCENTIVES: Participating distributors offer instant discounts on ENERGY STAR® certified smart thermostats. HVAC contractors who purchase from participating distributors can pass an instant discount on to their customers.
Residential Program
RETAIL – POST-PURCHASE REBATE: Customers can purchase an ENERGY STAR® certified smart thermostat through any retailer, in store or online, then apply for a rebate after the purchase.
RETAIL – INSTANT REBATE: Customers have the option to receive an instant coupon redeemable in store at Lowe’s and The Home Depot toward the purchase of a qualifying smart thermostat.
ONLINE MARKETPLACE: Residential customers can purchase smart thermostats through our Online Marketplace.
SMART SAVERS INITIATIVE: Qualifying customers who live in eligible ZIP codes can receive a no-cost smart thermostat with FREE professional installation offered through a Program Ally.
HOME EFFICIENCY INCOME QUALIFIED INITIATIVE: Eligible customers can receive a free smart thermostat installed by a Program Ally during an Instant Savers Assessment.

Multifamily Program
Customers living in multifamily properties are eligible to receive a free smart thermostat through the Multifamily Initiative. Property Managers work with Program staff to directly install smart thermostats in tenant units.
