How Does Financing Work?

In partnership with Energy Finance Solutions, we offer On-Bill Financing to help you afford making energy-saving improvements to your home. The current interest rate for Residential On-Bill Financing Loans is 8.74%.

To apply for the loan, you must meet the below criteria:

be the primary person listed on the Ameren Illinois account
be current on your bill
cannot have had a disconnect within the last year
cannot be on a pay agreement
have a minimum credit score of 640
have a debt-to-income ratio of less than 50% (for loans over $3,000)

Once we have confirmed that you qualify for the loan, you will be assigned one of our certified residential contractors. Your contractor will reach out to discuss the energy-saving improvements you would like to make and the financing. You can then apply for On-Bill Financing at any time after talking with your contractor.
